Chrysler Group LLC Statement Regarding the Proposed Fuel Economy Standards

Chrysler Group supports, in principal, the agreement on proposed fuel economy standards from 2017
through 2025 under a continued National Program. We remain committed to the goal of a single,
national, and coordinated program that will reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and enhance our
country’s energy security.

We appreciate the Obama Administration’s leadership in bringing together stakeholders to reach
agreement on a set of principles. Chrysler Group also appreciates the continuous efforts of the
entire Michigan congressional delegation in supporting U.S. manufacturing and jobs, consumers, and
the environment.

The Chrysler Group has actively adopted fuel-saving technologies including cylinder deactivation on
V-
8 engines, a new MultiAir® system that is being introduced on the Fiat 500 today and an eight-speed
transmission on the 2012 Chrysler 300 that will be introduced later this year.

While the proposed targets are ambitious, the agreement provides a flexibility in achieving CO2-
reduction goals that allows us to invest in the development of more fuel-efficient technologies and
continue our rich history of creating compelling products that appeal to a wide variety of consumer
needs and tastes.

Veteran’s Day

I was thinking about what to post for Veteran’s Day and realized I had an experience a lot of other Vets had experienced.

January 1987 Greensboro, NC. I’m standing in a darkened room with flags along the walls wondering what was about to happen. In walks a man in uniform and ask me if i’m ready to take my oath. I’m thinking “sure thing, no problem”, but when it got to the part about sacrificing my life for our country, I realized that this was very serious and very real. I had never made a commitment like this before. I had just promised to die for known and unknown people if I was called to do so. I had just become Government Issue (GI).

Sometimes we forget how lucky we are to have our freedom. I’ve heard stories from other friends in the service when they spoke about their experience in Basic Training. Most said it was a cake walk and they were just glad it was over. My experience wasn’t the same. Our unit had all of our privileges taken away and our lockers were sabotaged for inspections. I remember standing on a chair one night, after Taps, looking out the window. I could see the city skyline and wondered what all those “free” people were doing. I felt as if I had every Freedom I had ever known stripped from me. I felt then, that this feeling I was having, was part of the point of Basic Training. To know freedom and then have it taken away from you. Let me tell you, it’s is worth fighting and dying for.

So, on this special day, I would like to thank all my brother Veterans for taking that same oath with me. May God bless you all.

UAW-Chrysler Group National Labor Agreement Ratified by Members

*New four-year labor agreement continues Company’s forward progress.
*Chrysler Group to increase investments in U.S. facilities to $4.5 billion.
*Company looks to add as many as 2,100 employees
*Hourly employees to share in prosperity when achieved

Auburn Hills, Mich. , Oct 26, 2011  -  Chrysler Group LLC confirmed today
that a new national labor agreement, covering 26,000 employees, has been
ratified by the UAW-represented workforce in the U.S.

Through the term of the new agreement, Chrysler Group confirms plans to
invest an additional $1.3 billion to retool and upgrade plants for the production of new products, bringing the Company’s total U.S. investment to $4.5 billion. Additionally, Chrysler Group may add up to 2,100 new jobs in addition to the more than 2,500 jobs previously added.

“No one involved in the bargaining process leading to this agreement could
forget about our near death experience slightly more than two years ago and
the second chance we were given by the American and Canadian taxpayers. The
faith that was placed in us then has been fully repaid,” said Sergio Marchionne, Chrysler Group Chairman and CEO. “This agreement is a credit to our workforce and the UAW leadership. It recognizes the significant contributions they have made toward our continuing recovery. It rewards them for the current and potential future success of the Company while ensuring Chrysler Group will be able to remain competitive.”

The agreement recognizes hourly employees with a simpler and more
transparent profit sharing plan that directly aligns with the Company’s
performance. In addition, a new quality performance-based bonus is being
implemented that will give employees an opportunity to benefit from
improvements in the initial quality of Chrysler Group vehicles.

Because World Class Manufacturing (WCM) is a cornerstone of the Company’s
transformation, the new agreement also rewards employees with an annual
upside bonus if WCM metrics are achieved.

Since June 2009, Chrysler Group has announced investments of over $3.4
billion in its U.S. facilities and has made significant progress toward
building a successful enterprise, including: confirming a $165 million investment in its Sterling Heights Assembly Plant (Mich.) for the construction of a new body shop as well as equipment and conveyors; investing $72 million in the Toledo Machining Plant (Ohio); confirming a $114 million investment to repurpose about one-fifth or nearly 400,000-square feet of the Trenton North Engine Plant (Mich.) for the production of core components for the Pentastar engine produced at Trenton South; investing nearly $1.3 billion into the Company’s existing transmission manufacturing facilities in Kokomo, Ind., to accommodate production of a new advanced front-wheel drive automatic transmission; increase capacity and support production of the World Engine and improve processes for the 62TE transmission program; and accommodate future production of a new highly fuel-efficient eight-speed automatic transmission; investing $600 million in its Belvidere Assembly Plant (Ill.); confirming a planned investment of $850 million in its Sterling Heights Assembly Plant and surrounding stamping facilities; planning an investment of $150 million in its GEMA (Dundee, Mich.) facility; announcing in December 2009 that it will invest $179 million to launch production of the 1.4-liter, 16-valve Fully Integrated Robotized Engine (FIRE) at the GEMA plant, creating more than 150 new Chrysler Group jobs; adding a second shift of production – or nearly 1,100 jobs – at its Jefferson North Assembly Plant (Mich.) in May 2010; adding nearly 900 jobs on a second shift at its Sterling Heights Assembly Plant in February 2011; launching the all-new 2011 Jeep® Grand Cherokee in May 2010; beginning production of the all-new Fiat 500, Dodge Durango, Chrysler 200 and Dodge Avenger in December 2010; starting production of the 2011 Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger and Dodge Challenger in January 2011.

2012 Dodge Durango Named “Full-Size SUV of Texas” by Texas Auto Writers Association

Dodge Durango, the segment leader in power, towing capacity and driving range, wins “Full-Size SUV of Texas” award. The Texas Automotive Writers Association (TAWA) hosted its annual “Texas Truck Rodeo” Oct. 21-22 in San Antonio.

Nearly 60 journalists belonging to the Texas Automotive Writers Association (TAWA) spent two days driving the industry’s newest sport-utility and crossover vehicles in San Antonio late last week, and when the dust settled, the new Dodge Durango stood proud as the winner of the prestigious “Full-Size SUV of Texas” honor.

“It’s always an honor when opinion-leading journalists recognize the tremendous capability, style and value we’re offering with our all-newlineup of Dodge vehicles,” said Reid Bigland, President and CEO – Dodge Brand. “With Durango’s standard seven-passenger seating, class-leading towing capacity and driving range, the Dodge Durango offers a true no-compromise solution, blending capability and refinement into one stylish SUV.”

The TAWA media take many customer demands into consideration when evaluating the vehicles, including everything from exterior styling and on and off-road capability, to the entrant’s overall utility, value and fuel efficiency.

“The 2012 Dodge Durango made quite an impression at this year’s TAWA Truck Rodeo,” said Mike Herzing, President of TAWA. “With its spacious and refined interior, impressive driving dynamics, and class-leading towing capability, it’s only fitting that the Dodge Durango is named the 2012 Full-Size SUV of Texas.”

Earlier this year, the Dodge Journey seven-seat crossover was recognized by TAWA, winning the coveted “Family Car of Texas” award.

About Dodge Durango

With its class-leading towing and driving range of more than 550 miles, V-6 and V-8 engine choices, four-wheel independent suspension, near 50:50 weight distribution, and responsive steering and handling, Durango has functionality and driving dynamics unlike what you typically find in a seven-seat Sport Utility. No other SUV on the road compares with the all-new Dodge Durango’s distinctive bold Dodge design that craftily houses a spacious three-row, seven-passenger functional, flexible and premium interior, covered in soft-touch materials.

Durango features more than 30 storage areas, 28 seating configurations and a rear cargo area of nearly 85 cubic feet that fits a six-foot couch with room for coffee table or a 10-foot ladder with the front passenger seat folded flat. Utility may be one of Durango’s key attributes, but safety did not take a back seat during development. The 2012 Dodge Durango was recently named a “Top Safety Pick” by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.

About Dodge

Dodge is a full line of cars, crossovers, minivans and SUVs that are sporty, functional and innovative. With nearly 100 years of heritage, the brand has a history of providing its customers excellent quality, innovation and value. Dodge is building on the momentum of introducing six all-new or significantly redesigned products, solidifying its message that Dodge offers an excellent value for American families looking for top performance in all the places that matter – from power off the line and handling in the corners to high-quality, dependable vehicles that deliver unmatched functionality and excellent fuel economy in everyday driving situations. In fact, Dodge now offers six vehicles that deliver 25 mpg on the highway, while retaining that distinctive Dodge innovation and style. With the all-new Dodge Durango and Dodge Charger and significantly revamped Grand Caravan, Journey, Avenger and Challenger, Dodge also now has one of the youngest dealer showrooms in the country with more new product coming.

Journey features “thoughtful” design

The 2011 Dodge Journey is filled with “thoughtful touches,” many of them borrowed from Dodge’s minivan, that make the family vehicle a truly surprising replacement for the minivan, the Lakeland (Fla.) Ledger said.

“The most important part is what you feel behind the wheel: Steering and suspension have been retuned,” and Dodge also has added the excellent new 3.6-liter V-6 engine, the Ledger said.

“The Journey’s quiet, com-fortable ride seemed more like that of a luxury vehicle,” the paper said in its review.

Driving revealed the Jour-ney‟s strengths, the review said: The abundant power from the new V-6 is commendable; fuel economy around town is exactly as promised by the EPA; and the automatic trans-mission allows smooth, prompt shifts while accelerating.

Another surprise was the Journey’s vastly improved inte-rior quality, according to the Ledger. “The cabin is awash in soft touch materials and pad-ded surfaces,” the review said.

Mopar® Announces Car-Care Checklist for Cold-weather Driving Season

• Ten items to check before winter

• Mopar® services Chrysler, Jeep®, Dodge, Ram, SRT and Fiat vehicles

• With the addition of Magneti Marelli parts, Mopar also services

competitive makes

• Mopar now offers full menu of all-season, winter and performance tires

• Mopar Service Clinic offers free vehicle inspections and dealership tours

at select Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram and Fiat dealerships
Before winter settles in, fall is the time for owners to get their vehicles
into shape.

“Now is the time to prepare your vehicle for the upcoming winter-driving
season,” said Jim Sassorossi, Head of Sales and Product Development at
Mopar®, Chrysler Group’s service, parts and customer-care brand.
“Preventative maintenance helps vehicles perform at optimum levels in a
variety of conditions.

“With original-equipment Mopar parts, our factory-trained technicians
provide full service to Chrysler, Jeep®, Dodge, Ram, SRT and Fiat
vehicles,” Sassorossi added. “And with the addition of proven,
quality-tested parts from Magneti Marelli, we also service all domestic and
most import vehicles as well.”

Mopar’s Fall Car-Care Checklist

1: Brakes
Summer travel gives brake pads a heavy workout, resulting in the removal of
thin layers. Now is the time to check pads, shoes, rotors, drums, calipers,
wheel cylinders, brake hardware and the parking brake for wear and tear.

2: Tires
Closely inspect the tread and sidewall areas of tires for uneven or
irregular wear. In addition, excessive edge wear, center wear and shoulder
wear can act as an indicator for other trouble spots on your vehicle. It’s
also important to ensure correct air pressure at all times in order to
prevent premature wear. Be sure to check the spare as well. If replacements
are needed, Mopar offers a complete lineup of tires and winter tires from
BFGoodrich, Bridgestone, Continental, Dunlop, Firestone, General, Goodyear,
Hankook, Kelly, Kumho, Michelin, Uniroyal and Yokohama brands.

3: Battery
Summer heat does the most damage to battery life and is why they often fail
in the winter. Check for corroded terminals and a bulging or cracked case.
Test and replace battery if necessary.

4: Wiper Blades
Winter driving conditions challenge your ability to see the road. Mopar’s
lineup of wiper blades now includes Beam Blades, which provide superior
all-weather performance and aid driving visibility. The wiper blades boast
a skin coating that seals the aerodynamic spoiler in order to protect it
from winter weather. Mopar Beam Blades also are constructed to eliminate
exposed parts and to resist snow- and ice-clogging.

5: Shocks and Struts
For motorists located in cold and snowy climates, fall and winter also
usher in a dreaded time of year: pothole season. Shocks and struts are the
most overlooked service parts on a vehicle, but they affect ride control
and comfort and can also affect a number of related parts. Mopar shocks and
struts optimize vehicle handling, tire life and keep vehicles riding
smoothly.

6: Engine Oil
Ensure your engine oil has the correct viscosity in order to endure cold
weather. Engine oil should be changed or replenished at recommended
intervals. Low or dirty fluids affect how an engine and its components
perform and could potentially cause engine damage under extreme conditions.

7: Fluid Levels
All vehicle fluids and lubricants should be checked and changed at
factory-recommended intervals. Key fluids include antifreeze/coolant level
and concentration, as well as power steering, brake, transmission and
windshield washer fluids.

8: Engine Belts and Hoses
Replace belts and hoses at recommended intervals. Quality-tested Mopar
belts and hoses offer precision fit, optimal service life and
original-equipment performance.

9: Air Filter
The air filter is designed to protect your engine from airborne
contaminants. Poor air flow to the engine inhibits performance and
generates greater fuel consumption. A new air filter allows clean,
unrestricted air flow into the engine and helps ensure proper performance
for a longer life.

10: Headlamps and Taillamps
Days become shorter in the fall and winter, meaning more nighttime driving
and increased usage of headlamps and taillamps. Inspect and test all lamps
on your vehicle to ensure proper function and proper alignment.

More than 70 Years of Mopar
When Chrysler bought Dodge in 1928, the need for a dedicated parts
manufacturer, supplier and distribution system to support the growing
enterprise led to the formation of the Chrysler Motor Parts Corporation
(CMPC) in 1929.

Mopar (a simple contraction of the words MOtor and PARts) was trademarked
for a line of antifreeze products in 1937. It also was widely used as a
moniker for the CMPC. The Mopar brand made its mark in the 1960s — the
muscle-car era. The Chrysler Corporation built race-ready Dodge and
Plymouth “package cars” equipped with special high-performance parts. Mopar
carried a line of “special parts” for super-stock drag racers and developed
its racing parts division called Mopar Performance Parts to enhance speed
and handling for both road and racing use.
